Mercurio’s Pizzeria opened in 1976 with Matt and Ann Mercurio as sole proprietors. From a little kitchen in Richmond Indiana, Matt and Ann first made pizzas in 1956 to serve in a bar they owned at the same location. Staying with their rich Italian heritage, Matt and Ann quickly grew hundreds of loyal pizza-loving customers.
The authentic Italian recipes they developed are the distinctive tastes that endure today.
To this day, only the finest ingredients are used in making Richmond’s best Italian pizza. Today, even with the passing of Matt and Ann, their ideals of quality are ever-present at Mercurio’s Pizza. Erica and Jeff Lane carry on the Delicious Traditions known and loved by Richmond residents and customers from all over the world.
The endeavor to share Maercurio’s pizza with even more pizza lovers culminated in the development of a second location nestled in Elizabethtown Kentucky by Richmond native Evan Hensley and his colleague Jordan Johnson.
